| Nude recreation is a form of self expression
and respect.
Through
nude recreation, we have the freedom to release our inner child and let
our instincts come alive. We're able to experiencing life, recreation and
nature in the most natural way possible. Live Oak Resort is a
clothing-optional resort, so you have the option to relax with or without
your clothing.
We respect
everyone's individuality and expression. By accepting others for
themselves, our self-esteem is enhanced; we, as they, have nothing to
hide. At a nudist resort, we're all in the same social class, as distinctions typically stated by clothing are all but gone. We
accept others, and they, us, regardless of physical size, shape, or body
condition. Like-minded adults who participate in nude recreation
know the difference between nudity and sex. Each is kept in their
proper perspective.
We hope the following provide answers to any question you may have
about Live Oak Resort, or nudity in general. If we've missed a
question, we welcome your input by filling
in this form. Thanks!
- Why do people choose nude recreation?
- Nude recreation embraces the joy of living and experiencing nature
in the most natural way possible. Relaxation, stress relief,
positive body image, and increasing self esteem are just a few of the
reasons people choose the nudist lifestyle.
- Is nude recreation becoming more accepted?
- The answer to this question is Absolutely! According to the
Roper
Center for Public Opinion Research over 40 million Americans have
participated in some form of nudist recreation while in mixed company.
We are not alone! By any means!
- Isn't this all about sex?
- Absolutely not. Like-minded adults who participate in nude
recreation know the difference between nudity and sex. Each is
kept in their proper perspective. In fact, you'll most probably
see that sex is less of an "issue" compared to the textile world.
The individual expecting to find a willing participant in back of each
tree will be quite surprised. The individual hoping to be the
one who comes out from behind the tree will be disappointed with the
limited attention s/he receives.
- What are the characteristics of Live Oak Resort?
- Live Oak Resort was created by people like you, as a reward for
all the times we've had to deny our basic instincts. Live Oak Resort
is the perfect gathering place for adventurous, like-minded adults.
Live Oak is committed to providing recreational and entertainment
amenities that allow you to reach new horizons in your chosen
recreation. Our activities include sports and events much like
any resort, such as swimming, nature walking, volleyball, themed
parties, special meal events, and the opportunity to meet a wide
variety of people, diverse in age, profession, and culture.
- Does swimming in the nude feel strange?
- It feels great. The cool water splashing against your body as it
glides through the water with only what you were born with (with some
exceptions, of course!). And to top it off, when you get back to
your lounge chair, you can let the sun dry you off without your suit
staying all wet!
- Why do you take off all your clothes in the presence of others?
- You need to experience it to fully understand. You'll
quickly see that nudism isn't about looking and comparing, rather it's
more about the freedom to explore one's inner-self without any
societal retribution. Once you feel comfortable in the nude, and
that happens more quickly than you expect, you most probably
will try to increase the number of times you can relax in the buff.
When you realize how easy it is to converse with others with no
facade, you'll tend to socialize more easily with others in any
surrounding. The bonus at a nudist resort is that you get to do
it in the nude.
- What happens when a man gets aroused? It has to be
embarrassing at a resort. Does this happen often?
- It happens - but much less than you'd expect. As it's
natural for a man to experience erections when aroused, provided one
is discreet, others will not even know. That's one reason you
take a towel with you wherever you go!
- I'm not a perfect '10.' Won't I feel uncomfortable around all
those Ken and Barbies?
- Though there are Kens and Barbies every now and then, most nudists
are just like you and me. Warts, love handles and all. In
fact, some first-timers are so wrapped up in looking for that elusive
10 when they first arrive, they forget to see that no one cares what
one looks like on the outside. This may come as a surprise, but
you'll soon discover that nudism enhances the ability for one to focus
on and explore the inside of another's self.
- Do I have to be a Live Oak Resort Gold member, or a member of a
nudist organization?
- Live Oak Resort accepts all - there is no restriction on what
adult may or may not experience the enjoyment of nude recreation.
If you like Live Oak and plan on visiting frequently to unwind, you
will quickly realize that becoming a Gold member is quite
cost-effective.
- What are the differences between a nudist and a clothing-optional
resort? What is Live Oak Resort?
- Live Oak resort is a clothing-optional resort, where we base what
we wear and when we wear it on common sense. On a cool day, you have
the freedom to wear clothes - be it a shirt, bathrobe or pants and
shirt. When you dine, please feel free to get dressed. You
may be sitting next to a friend who desires to be nude, but you have a
choice at Live Oak. If this is your first time at a clothing
optional resort, you may wear something until you are more
comfortable. Nudist resorts operating under strict
guidelines set forth by their sponsoring organization may require
their members to be nude at all times, so that all club members are
treated equally.
- What should I pack?
- Most visitors tend to over-pack on their first visit. We recommend
you pack a light travel bag containing two towel for each person (one
to sit on, and the other to dry off with when swimming), sun block,
shoes, toiletries, and a cover-up for the cool days or when you've had
too much sun. For evening entertainment at
Club Larry, women tend to dress in
undergarments, teddies or light, erotic clothing. Men wear pj
bottoms, boxers or nothing at all. If you feel you may want to
take it slow at first, take a pair of shorts and a shirt - but not too
much.
