The Sun Gods were good to us, as we were blessed with a wickedly wonderful
weekend. Actually, starting Thursday, the crowd was gathering around
the pool, stripping down to whatever they felt comfortable in - some with,
some without (clothes??), but ALL with smiles on their faces. By
Thursday night, the resort was alive with the biggest bunch of fun-loving
hedonists Texas has seen. After partying around the pool with our
traditional "Welcome Mon" reception we headed into Club Larry for our Toga
Toga Toga celebration.
We headed to sleep (not bed - sleep) in time to see the sunrise.
A few hours later, there we were, in line at the Pavillion for a filling
buffet breakfast. Fortunately the coffee was strong, and I didn't
fall asleep head-first in my bacon and eggs! By 11am, we were
checking out each other's freshly-painted body art - thanks to Romeo from
Hedo III. Then off we went to a new type of volleyball - try
catching water balloons while naked! Go figure! But fun was
there to be had! By midday madness time, women were trying to find
their men - yep while blindfolded and naked. Gee, what's your most
prominent feature? We washed off after the wicked oil wrestling and
headed out for some super barbeque at the Pavillion before party time.
The live band played until 10, when Club Larry opened for a Hedo Ho Down -
and those ho's sure know how to go down! Uhhhh.... Yep - 5am
was sleep-time again.
Then Saturday - time to catch some shut-eye at the pool? Nooo
-too much action going on - between shuffleboard (need to be careful what
pole to hold), the music by DJ Canute and playing around in the meadow, I
couldn't sleep. So we headed over to try our luck at the frozen
t-shirt contest. Soooo cold - and that was just watching it!
Just as I was starting to finally doze off during mid-day, I heard some
heavy moaning by the pool. Women were competing in a "fake your
orgasm" contest. OK, I'm worried - they were too good!
Realizing that sleep was a pipe-dream, I went to grab a drink - lucky for
me it was time for "hedonistic body shots." Good stuff! No
longer thirsty (for a drink), I was finally able to catch a few Zs before
a sumptuous dinner followed by the band then our sexy satin pajama party.
Yes again - sleep at 5am.
Sunday morning, we grabbed some breakfast and went back to our
accommodations just in time - the Rain Gods blessed us through Sunday
morning... Downpour - but no matter - we know what to do when it
rains at Live Oak resort. That's what's so good about it - rain or
shine, you leave your worries behind when you drive through the gates.
Like Mama and Papa (Jennifer and Larry) say, "relax and have fun - with or
without your clothes." We did both, and are so very happy to be part
of the Live Oak family.
Now here I am, Sunday evening typing and yawning - getting ready to
head to sleep and back to reality. One thing for sure - we'll be
back again and again. Join us - for a day, a night, the weekend, or
for a lifetime. You'll be glad you did! |
