Viva Las Vegas - A Star Studded Night: February 26 - 28

Elvis certainly doesn't pole dance now, at least!!!  But he may turn over in his grave when he sees how Live Oak Resort puts on a show!  Come see us February 26-28 for our "Viva Las Vegas - A Star-Studded Night" spectacular weekend! 

Starting off, we're holding a hold'em!  That's right!  We're hosting a Texas Hold'em contest Friday through Saturday in the Bare Delites Social Hall.  Who has the best poker (not poke her) face at Live Oak Resort?  We'll find out!  What's up for stake?  Why not find out by calling us at 936-878-2216, or reserving a spot to participate (put Texas Hold 'em in our reservations "comments" section). 

Saturday night, we'll announce our winner during the spectacular, "Viva Las Vegas - a Star-Studded Night" event in Club Larry.  How good are you at dressing up like Elvis?  Cher?  Maybe you can be one of the tigers from Sigfried and Roy (I hear the tigers are looking for work...).   Our party will be sure to rock your socks off!!!

Lucky Charms Weekend: March 12-14

What do Lucky Charms and Live Oak Resort have in common?  Check out this quote from author and blogger, John Green.  Then we'll draw some comparisons:

• "...They're a little bit dangerous and bad for you."   When we're bad, we're good!!!!  The only danger at Live Oak Resort is the danger of being addicted to our incredible grounds, amenities and the wonderful people you meet here each and every weekend.

Party House Renovation

The famous Live Oak Resort Party House is in phase 2 of upgrades!  We're busy re-tiling and painting even as we speak.  We've already renovated the shower, added new furniture and shortly will be laying (pun?) new carpet (will it match the drapes?).  If you don't know about the Party House, why not give us a call at 936-878-2216 and learn more!  Better yet, make a reservation right now and come on out and see first-hand for yourselves!  (Oh, speaking of "first hand" - no single men allowed in the party house).

Social Hall

We're building a new social hall!  Starting in the near future, a new social hall will be built on the site of the existing basketball court.  Meanwhile, Bare Delites will be modified as a temporary 24/7 social hall, housing Texas Hold 'em tables, Dominos, a wide screen TV and more.  Standby for more information coming shortly!!!

Pool Renovation Underway!!!

Everyone has thoroughly enjoyed our wonderful hot tub that was completed March of 2008, and we've just begun a fantastic project for 2010! Contractors started digging out our old pool last week, and construction should start the first part of February on our new modern beautiful conversation pool. This $100,000.00 plus project is definitely long overdue.  You don't want to miss being among the first to enjoy it. Estimated completion date is mid April, so don’t miss the big Splash Party right after - we're talking about Hedo-Fest '10, from April 29 - May 2!  We'll keep you posted on its progress on our Pool Page (liveoakresort.com/pool.htm)
