Western Swing Weekend and BBQ Cookoff:  August 20 - 22

Coming to Live Oak Resort's "Swingers Wanted Extravaganza" August 20-22?   Get ready for an incredible weekend - filled with fun, food and frolicking! 

First - hang out at the super-sized free-form pool - if you haven't been up to Live Oak since April, you're in for a treat!  Check the pool out, and you'll definitely want to be there. 

Second - Do you have what it takes to be the 2010 Live Oak BBQ King or Queen?  What's your specialty?  Beef, Chicken, Pork?  Something else?  Saturday, August 21st is your opportunity to show off your skills as Live Oak Resort hosts its annual BBQ Cookoff!  Check out the details, below, and be prepared for some stiff competition! 

Third - Don't cook?  That's ok!  'Cause after the cookoff, we're having a potluck dinner, celebrating the winner, and chowing down on all the great BBQ entered by both winners and runners-up (no losers at Live Oak Resort!).  Please bring a side dish or dessert with you!

Fourth - After dinner, freshen up, and get ready for a super, sexy swingfest - Western Style!  Club Larry opens up and hosts our Western Swing Extravaganza.  What does "swing" mean to you?  Stop by our club and find out! 

Fifth - Of course, the party doesn't stop when Club Larry locks its doors.  Enjoy our super sized pool and hot tub - day or night!

Sign in at the Pavilion at 10 am Saturday

Judging will be in 4 categories; 1st place only to be given in each of the following:

Beef

Chicken

Pork

Other

RULES:

You do not need sign in to start your cooking

Container pick up Saturday at 10 am at the Pavilion

You must cook on the property

You can start your cooking anytime as long as you are on property

Entries must be put in container given by Live Oak

Entries must be turned in at 4pm Saturday

POTLUCK:

Potluck starts 5:30 pm Saturday at the Pavilion

Please bring side dishes, Desserts and breads

Labor Day Weekend:  September 3 - 6:

Labor Day Weekend is closing in on us already.  Come celebrate the official end of the summer season by chilling out in the cool, new pool and warming up to one-another our incredible, huge spa.   Of course we will have the Labor Day Golf Classic, sanctioned by the Naked Golf Association.  This event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, followed by Sam Allen's famous margaritas.  Check back to see when the course will be open for practice rounds.  Grab your stick and balls and head out to Live Oak Resort.

Live Oak Annual Bike Rally:  September 16 - 19

Time to tune up your bikes and get ready to head out to Live Oak Resort for our "Best Little Bike Rally in Texas!"  As September starts to cool down, bring out your hot bikes to Live Oak Resort September 16-19.  The Posse Band is coming back by popular demand, playing two nights!  We have a high stakes Poker run, with $1,000 to the first place winner!  We'll also be giving out some big dollars during our People's Choice Bike Show - this year, you can enter a trailered bike - no need to ride your show bike to  enter it.  Come hungry, 'cause our "all you can eat" BBQ is only $12.95.  Registration includes, daily membership, rally entrance fee, nightly entertainment and tent camping! Of course, partying by the pool and dancing in Club Larry is always on the list.  Be here for our Best Little Bike Rally in Texas! Click Here to register, or go to http://www.liveoakresort.com/bikerally_res.htm .
