BBQ Cookoff Results:  August 21

We had a great turnout for our potluck, and just knew someone pulling pork would be a winner in our book for the BBQ!  Others included BBQ Spam - in fact, it was so good, that we can look for a "Spam-O-Rama" coming to Live Oak Resort in November.  We had so much fun at the cookoff, we should expect another one to be announced shortly!  Stay tuned.

Labor Day Weekend:  September 3 - 6:

Labor Day Weekend is closing in on us already.  Come celebrate the official end of the summer season by chilling out in the cool, new pool and warming up to one-another our incredible, huge spa.   Of course we will have the Labor Day Golf Classic, sanctioned by the Naked Golf Association.  This event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, followed by Sam Allen's famous margaritas.  Check back to see when the course will be open for practice rounds.  Grab your stick and balls and head out to Live Oak Resort.

Live Oak Annual Bike Rally:  September 16 - 19

Time to tune up your bikes and get ready to head out to Live Oak Resort for our "Best Little Bike Rally in Texas!"  As September starts to cool down, bring out your hot bikes to Live Oak Resort September 16-19.  The Posse Band is coming back by popular demand, playing two nights!  We have a high stakes Poker run, with $1,000 to the first place winner!  We'll also be giving out some big dollars during our People's Choice Bike Show - this year, you can enter a trailered bike - no need to ride your show bike to  enter it.  Come hungry, 'cause our "all you can eat" BBQ is only $12.95.  Registration includes, daily membership, rally entrance fee, nightly entertainment and tent camping! Of course, partying by the pool and dancing in Club Larry is always on the list.  Be here for our Best Little Bike Rally in Texas! Click Here to register, or go to http://www.liveoakresort.com/bikerally_res.htm .

Oktoberfest Weekend:  October 8 - 10

Halloween Weekend:  October 29 - 31

So You Think You Can Dance Weekend:  November 12 - 14

• Competition dates are November 12-13

• Deadline for entry is October 25

• Depending upon the amount of entries, we will begin competition on Friday, 7pm in Club Larry

• Top 3 dance couples from Friday will compete in a dance-off, Saturday evening with a second dance style and costume

• Judging is based on dancing capability, rhythm, enthusiasm, use of floor and costumes

• Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place

 RULES

• You will have 45 seconds to 1 minute for your dance routine
• Scoring will be up to a total of 100 points
• Make sure you have 2 different styles of dances (you will need a second routine if you move to the next round)
• Costumes are NOT mandatory, but you will be able to earn up to 10 more points on costumes
